If ever there was a production Jaguar that should be labelled as `The Most Desirable` it has to be the astonishingly elegant, two-door, pillarless, XJ5.3C.
To find a beautifully original, well cared-for, example is rarer even than the model itself. And this is one such car.
Manufactured in 1975, this car remained in just one ownership from 2001 to 2024 – twenty four years! There is a complete History file and Jaguar Heritage Certificate. Original throughout – other than a repaint of some parts in its correct Greensand – including its supple, Tan Connolly leather and trim with original new carpeting, its Nardy steering wheel, its original Steel Chromed wheels and, most importantly, its original Black Vinyl covered roof with not a single blemish beneath.
Jaguar V12 engine:
parts chromed; runs on lead -free; refurbished electronic Luke/Bosch ignition; electronic fuel injection; Refurbished three-speed automatic gearbox; Refurbished engine (including tubes, injectors, amplifiers, cables, cooling fan, radiator, oil filter house, spark plug cables, power distributor); Stainless steel exhaust.
Suspension:
New shock absorbers; new calipers and brake discs;
New ball joints and new bearings in front; Pirelli's P4000.
Interior:
Central locking; electric windows; Tan Connolly leather upholstery; wooden Nardi steering wheel; Climate Control;
New floor mats; renewed ceiling; Restored dashboard with new veneer; New door rubbers and window rubbers all around.
Special characteristics body:
tinted glass; chrome strip along the sides; original chromed steel rims; Many renewed chrome parts; Replaced or restored a lot of sheet metal; Hella fog lights.
This Jaguar is now in possession for 24 years. History is known and documented. Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate present. It is driven an average of 3000 kilometers annually and is in excellent driving condition. Imported in the Netherlands: 1999, originally Swiss car; MOT: Until 14-12-2025
