The Land Rover car design takes us back to a beach in Wales, just after WW2. The very beginning of Land Rover itself is the fabled story of brothers Maurice and Spencer Wilks, sketching out the simple design of what would become an enduring and iconic classic 4WD vehicle. A simple design, because times were hard. Cause, well, the war. Materials, even the most basic ones, were hard to come by.

At CarCave we love the original V8 Defenders. The V8 adds a layer of performance and sound that is a pleasure to own. With this example being an original V8 she is even more special as they are rare and not easy to find. The example which we are presenting here today surely will turn heads in every town and forest you will drive through. She was custom built for our client a few years ago. As her father always loved the Land Rovers she wanted to build her dream Defender. She is finished in Nardo Grey with black contrasts such as the Puma bonnet, roof, wheels, etc. To give her an extra cool look, a full external roll cage was fitted. Even though she was built in 1990, she looks like any modern Defender with her LED lights and Sawtooth alloy wheels. This Defender was built to be a more special driver that can be used in any situation.

Inside you will find one of the coolest interiors we have fitted to date. Her owner commissioned a one-off interior built by Startech in Germany who generally work on Bentley, Aston Martin, etc. The seats have to be the main eye catcher of this interior. Heated Recaro bucket seat are finished in soft black Nappa leather with a custom stitch pattern for a sporty look. And the best part? The rear of the seats have been painted in the same colour as the outside… Furthermore, Startech has fully retrimmed the rest of the cabin, including the headliner, door panels, dashboard, etc. All to the highest standard. To give this Defender V8 the extra comfort she deserves we have fitted her with an air conditioning system, infotainment and electric windows!

Mechanically we did not leave this Defender V8 untouched either. Her engine has been improved with the fuel injection system for improved performance. And to make her sound incredible, we fitted a full stainless steel exhaust system including the headers. Her gearbox, transfer case, suspension, etc. have all been fully checked and are in great working condition. At this moment she is one of our favourite Defenders to drive!
