Modulo IC89 BMW K 75 Collectors Item Sidecar Trike

Extremely rare, this Ferrari red Modulo IC89 from 1995!

Only 22 pieces were produced, this is one of only 8 open versions, chassis number 1 was once given as a gift by the founder of the brand to Formula 1 driver Nigel Mansell.

This example was bought new in 1995 for 75,000.00 DM by the first and only owner, now only 15,800 km original.
Very suitable as an addition to a collection, just nice to look at!

It is a special device and actually cannot be compared to anything. Rear-wheel drive three-wheeler, only 450 kilos ready to drive, kevlar and aluminum body with pop-up headlights, clamshell front/rear and a steel tube frame. The engine, entire drivetrain and instruments were used from a new BMW K75S at the time, very smooth and a reliable base. The Modulo is a kind of mix between a BMW motorcycle, a trike, a microcar and a sports car. Typical Italian design and engineering, full of cool details.

All keys, the original price tag, original registration papers, photos of the delivery/events and technical manual are present. The Modulo has hardly been used in the past 10 years. Upon arrival, the technology was checked and a new battery was installed. Starts, runs and drives fine, all lights, the automatic pop-up headlights, all gears and reverse work properly. If the Modulo is going to be used for rides and events, a major service incl. new tires (due to its age) is advisable.

A very light-footed and special vehicle, officially driveable without a helmet and with a car driver's license. Video around and video of driving with this Modulo are available on request via WhatsApp.

Service information

Check and new battery upon arrival, everything works properly and the Modulo drives well. Major maintenance and new tires are recommended if the Modulo is going to be used for (longer) trips.
