Description
Positioned between the more accessible "T" version and the sportier "S", the 911 2.4E is known for its perfect balance between performance and comfort. In 1972, the 2.4L engine appeared, replacing the 2.2L which had a displacement of 2195 cm³. To reach the 2341 cm³ of the new block, several modifications were made, particularly to the crankshaft and connecting rods. The 2.4E version thus develops a power of 165 hp at 6,200 rpm, with a torque of 206 Nm at 4,200 rpm.
The model we are offering for sale was delivered to its first Swiss owner in May 1973, then imported to France in 1993. The matching of the gearbox - chassis - engine numbers has been confirmed by Porsche France and with an original "Light Ivory" color associated with a brown leather interior, this 2.4E is in very good aesthetic and mechanical condition. The car benefited during the summer of 2022 from an overhaul of the engine and gearbox, with the replacement of many parts, the full list is of course available on request. Following this mechanical work, an aesthetic restoration with a complete painting in accordance with the original color was carried out at the renowned « Carrosserie Hervé ». To top it all off, the complete original interior was able to be preserved and only benefited from a deep cleaning and leather care. New shock absorbers and tires were also installed and all consumables are up to date. With just over 83.000 km on the clock (justified by the Histovec and the maintenance book), this 2.4E is ready to hit the road with its new owner and is presented in a rare quality condition. Indeed, it is common to find these cars in different states of wear or quality of restoration. This example is fortunate to have benefited from a restoration of all the necessary mechanical and aesthetic elements, while retaining its magnificent original patina on the interior. Coupled with its beautiful history, it is undoubtedly one of the best examples to have been put on the market recently and that we are pleased to offer you for sale today.
The car can be viewed by physical or digital appointment in our showroom. Do not hesitate to ask for a video or the digitized history file that we will be happy to share with you if interested.
You can contact us by email or by phone for any request.
